If you want to come & stay with us but want to give your camping kit an airing, bring your own tent or campervan & all your own gear – no problem.

We’ve got some of the prettiest pitches in Cornwall, whether you fancy staying in the meadow area with other people or prefer a private spot – just like the tipi set up you’ve got the choice of sociability or seclusion.

If you go for privacy there’s larger pitches with picnic tables that will take big modern family tents or smaller spaces in woodland or high above the lake that are much snugger & perfect camping for two.

You get to use all the same facilities as the tipi dwellers; hot & cold showers, flushing or composting loos, campfires & the glorious lake with its boats & jetties, swimming & fishing for free. There’s woodland paths to stroll down & twigs to pick up for kindling, buzzards soaring overhead & wild flowers (the children can even pick some if they like – just not the orchids!) in the hedgerows. Pink campions & lacy cow parsley in a bottle or jar make your tent feel like home from home.

Campervans & Caravans: Sorry - but no hard standing, no electrical hook-ups, no solid or liquid waste disposal & no water lines for re-filling water tanks. All park ups are on meadow grass.

Some campers bring bunting & flags, splitting axes for firewood and their own solar panels for an off Grid supply – other just shake out a pop up tent & head for the beach - 5 mins to the nearest one for an Atlantic swim (Port Gaverne) & less than 15 to one of the best surf spots in Cornwall (Polzeath).
