Please make sure that you book the right kind of pitch for what you need eg a campervan or caravan pitch if you have a campervan/caravan or trailer tent, and book a tent pitch if you’re bringing a tent – they are not interchangeable!
If we don’t have the kind of pitch you want then please do not book another sort of pitch – because we may not be able to swop it later, or if we do it will incur a £35 admin fee + bank charges. (see T&C's below)
We assume you’ll bring 1 family tent per pitch if several of you, or perhaps 2 smaller tents. A pitch for 6 doesn’t mean you can fit 4-6 individual tents on it.
We’ve been getting some monster tents recently, and lots of our pitches just aren’t big enough to accommodate them. Please look at the size of the pitch and decide whether it will fit your tent before you book it as we can’t stretch the pitch to fit your tent! We assume you’ll bring the right size of tent for the number of people you book for – in other words not a 7m long tent (aimed at 10-12 people) for a family of 4. Or not a 6 person tent for just 2 of you – otherwise families who’ve paid more money won’t have enough room to put up their tents when they arrive.
We do make a point on our website asking people not to bring speakers and play pre-recorded music – you may love the track you’re playing, but your neighbours may hate it – plus they won’t be able to hear the birdsong which is why so many people come here. If you want to play music through speakers this really isn’t the campsite for you and we will ask you to turn it off – staff may ask you to leave if you do not. But if you want to bring your own guitar or play a fiddle round the campfire – that’s the kind of music making we’re very happy to hear on site!
Wild camping in low season is either £20 per adult per night (£10 per child aged 2-12) in the communal areas (meadow & Lower Village Field (LVF), or £25 per adult (£12 per child) on a private pitch – it’s the same price for tents or campervans. (Campervans meadow only)
Wild camping in mid or peak season is £25 per adult per night (£12 per child aged 2-12) in the communal areas (meadow/LVF), or £30 per adult (£15 per child) on a private pitch. (Campervans - meadow only)
Tipis are priced depending on size & location & number of people; anything from £186 for 2 nights in low season for a couple to £1386 for a large family for a week in the summer holidays.
We usually have a minimum booking policy of 2 nights for tipis & 1 night for wild campers, but we do make an exception during mid and peak season when its 2 nights on wild camping private pitches.
Please note all camping whether in tipis, tents or campervans/motorhomes is 'Off Grid' - there are NO electrical hook-ups.
Please note: arrival and departure times – at busy times guests are requested to arrive between 4-8pm & to leave by 10.30am on the last day of their holiday. At other times we can be more flexible. At all times arrivals from 9-11pm (which are by prior arrangement only) will incur a surcharge of £20 payable in cash on arrival. No arrivals after 11pm, if you arrive after this time you will not be able to check into your tipi/pitch until the following day. Please advise us of your estimated time of arrival as we need to meet all guests individually.
Weddings during your stay - important - please read!
Our site is also a glorious outdoor wedding venue and in the busy summer season there may well be a marquee wedding or two during your stay. Amplified music is allowed at wedding receptions and cuts off at midnight; venue staff are on hand throughout the evening to enforce our nominated sound levels during the party. Campers are often a long way from the festivities (although definitely nearby in Meadow Camping), so if you think in any way that this might not suit you please check for dates or location of pitches before booking your trip. Please note our our office hours are officially 10am-6pm Monday-Friday (although often a lot later!) with some limited cover on peak summer Saturdays, so if you need to get in touch try to speak to us before the weekend when we're usually on site dealing with a lovely wedding.

cancellations/changes to bookings/T&C's
By making this booking you agree to our Terms & Conditions which are available to read here: http://www.cornishtipiholidays.co.uk/terms-conditions and we always charge £35 + any Stripe fees for alterations to bookings. We advise you take out separate travel insurance to cover all eventualities such as sudden illness/injury etc. It may be possible to roll a booking over to later the same season or the following year, but extensive notice is required (6 weeks minimum). If we attempt to re-book some or all of your original booking for you & are successful enough to make you a refund then an additional £35 + any Stripe fees will be charged (ie £70 + Stripe). We are always unable to roll over or re-book your booking in peak periods without this notice so please do not ask us as even a polite refusal can offend.
