We've got a fantastic on site cafe, The Gastropod run by the team from Snail's Pace. This family friendly outfit started life with their off Grid eco-cafe & bike hire on the famous Camel Trail near St Breward and then expanded to running the ever popular tipi cafe sited at the far end of the meadow camping area. The cafe is of course open to everyone - whether or not you're staying with us - but we do ask that you leave your doggies at home as we're a pet free campsite. If this makes life really difficult for you, cafe staff will give you a bowl of water for your dog which you can take up to the car.
The Gastropod roll out freshly made seasonal food in a laid back setting. Offering breakfasts and homemade treats to tipi dwellers & campers using locally sourced ingredients from farm to fishing boat, they aim to let you relax while family & friends enjoy everything that you haven't had to make - and no one will have to do the washing up!
This family run seasonal café does everything from breakfasts & coffee to world food nights with guest chefs (Caribbean BBQ/Turkish/Indian) always keeping great veggie/vegan options on the menu and often serving salad & herbs grown here on site. They also cater for events, weddings or anything special (celebration picnic hampers/birthday cakes etc) & are fully licenced for beer and wine.
As this is a seasonal cafe please make a point of checking whether the cafe is open daily (high season) or only certain days of the week (low - mid season).
