events and groups

Over the last 10 years we’ve had fun with drumming workshop weekends, corporate team building, university reunions and hen parties, inner city children, yoga retreats, outward bound adventures, meditation and healing, Fathers & Sons, find your inner man, learner divers, canoers and kayakers, Brownie groups and Church outings, adventure trekkers and walking groups, surprise birthday weekends, bird spotters, artists, surfers and historians.

Clearly a pretty diverse bunch, but all appreciating the beauty and simplicity of tipi life in our hidden valley just minutes away from some of the most spectacular coastline in the UK.

We’re always happy to try and arrange things to suit you and your event, drop us an email or give us a call and tell us how you’d like it all to work.

We also have events/courses of our own; this Autumn we’re hoping to run
Painting in the Landscape – mid September
Historic Walks – late September
Coracle Building Workshop – tbc
Drumming & African Percussion – Spring... tbc
Dates will be confirmed on this page and Latest News as they become available.

rates

Rates depend on the type of group you are, and when you want to come, also bear in mind that peak season dates aren’t generally available for this kind of booking.
Group 1 – charity/voluntary group
Group 2 – friends & family
Group 3 – all male groups
Group 4 – corporate / event (ie attending a course/workshop/outing)

These groups are all presupposed to be adult, either mixed, or all female. All male adult groups are not usually accepted, although very occasionally exceptions may be made. Where children are to be part of the group discounts will be made according to numbers, age etc.

Single sex groups are always asked to pay a good behaviour bond in advance, which will be returned after the holiday if all has gone according to plan. This sounds rather bossy, but as you can imagine we’ve learnt the hard way!

  charity f & f all male corporate / event
Low 30 35 50 50
Mid 35 40 55 55
Peak 40 45 60 60

Prices are per person, per night and assume a min 2 night stay. This tariff enables us to place your group in tipis of our choice up to our maximum number per tipi (see Our Tipis). If you want more tipis or more privacy for some group members then that’s fine, but prices will rise for that part of the booking.

You are considered to be a group once your numbers (as adults) go over 6, ie 7 and up, although smaller numbers would be classified as a group if you fall into Group 4. Larger groups again, ie 15-40 may sometimes be subject to an extra surcharge depending on activity.

We encourage you to car pool wherever possible, or better still hire a bus. If you’d like to come by train then we can help with minibus hire etc for your stay, and we’ve got fantastic cycle hire (and the famous Camel Trail) in our local market town of Wadebridge. We can also help with cooking & eating areas, larger under cover spaces (including our biggest tipi of all, the Grand Lodge) and anything else you might need.

Whatever you’re planning, give us a call and get the ball rolling.
